Please read and understand these Terms and Conditions carefully before you confirm a booking with Peoplelink Safaris. By booking a trip with us, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Bookings and Quotations
All safari quotations are based on the proposed itinerary and include the services expressly stated. Unless otherwise indicated, prices typically include:
- Accommodation in hotels, lodges, guesthouses, or tents
- Meals as specified in the itinerary
- Park entrance and ranger fees
- Ground transportation and airport transfers (where applicable)
- Services of an English or French-speaking driver/guide
- Bottled drinking water while on safari
All quotations are subject to availability at the time of booking.
2. Payment Terms
- A 40% deposit is required to confirm any booking.
- The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to the start of the safari, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- For bookings made within 30 days of travel, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.
Failure to make payments within the specified time may result in cancellation of the booking.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
All cancellations must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable).
The following cancellation charges apply per person or group, based on the total trip cost:
- 60 days or more before arrival – 10% cancellation fee
- 59–31 days before arrival – 50% cancellation fee
- 30–14 days before arrival – 70% cancellation fee
- 13–7 days before arrival – 80% cancellation fee
- 6 days or less before arrival / No-show – 100% cancellation fee
Additional conditions:
- Gorilla permits and air tickets are 100% non-refundable
- No refunds will be issued for unused services, late arrivals, or no-shows
- People Link Safaris reserves the right to deduct any unrecoverable expenses already incurred
4. Pricing
All prices are based on current rates and may be subject to change due to factors beyond our control, including:
- Government taxes and park fee adjustments
- Currency fluctuations
- Fuel price changes
Clients will be notified of any significant changes before final confirmation.
5. Liability
People Link Safaris acts as an intermediary between clients and third-party service providers, including hotels, airlines, and transportation operators.
- While we carefully select our partners, we do not accept liability for errors, omissions, or failures by third-party providers
- We are not liable for loss, damage, injury, or delays caused by circumstances beyond our control
This includes but is not limited to:
- Flight delays or cancellations
- Political unrest, war, or terrorism
- Natural disasters or extreme weather
- Epidemics or health emergencies
- Government actions, strikes, or road closures
- Mechanical breakdowns or transport disruptions
6. Health, Travel Documents, and Insurance
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have:
- Valid passports (with sufficient validity)
- Required visas and permits
- Vaccination certificates and health documentation
We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance, covering:
- Medical emergencies
- Trip cancellations
- Loss of personal belongings
Emergency evacuation cover can be arranged upon request.
7. Activities and Risk Acknowledgement
Certain safari activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking
- Mountain climbing and hiking
- Game drives and nature walks
- Water-based activities such as rafting or boat cruises
By booking with us, clients acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to participate at their own responsibility.
8. Age Requirements
- Minimum age for most safaris: 7 years
- Minimum age for gorilla trekking: 15 years
All minors (under 18 years) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who assumes full responsibility for their welfare during the trip.
9. Transportation
Transportation is arranged based on group size, route, and itinerary requirements.
- All vehicles are maintained to high safety standards
- However, Peoplelink Safaris is not liable for delays or inconveniences caused by:
- Road conditions
- Mechanical breakdowns
- Weather or other unforeseen factors
10. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking with Peoplelink Safaris, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
