Day 1: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Rhino Tracking & Visit to the Top of the Falls

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Entebbe as you journey north toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where wild rhinos can be tracked on foot. Accompanied by experienced rangers, enjoy an exciting rhino tracking experience through the sanctuary while learning about rhino conservation efforts in Uganda.

After lunch en route, continue to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in time to visit the top of the magnificent Murchison Falls. Here, the mighty River Nile forces itself through a narrow 7-meter gorge before plunging dramatically into the river below, creating one of Africa’s most powerful waterfalls.

You will enjoy the breathtaking views and photography opportunities before proceeding to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Nile Boat Cruise

You will rise early for a sunrise game drive across the vast savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park. The park is home to elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, leopards, hyenas, Uganda kobs, and many other wildlife species, and there are chances to see some or all of them.

After lunch and relaxation at the lodge, head for an afternoon boat cruise along the River Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. This relaxing cruise offers close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and a wide variety of birdlife along the riverbanks. You will then return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Budongo Forest

After breakfast, you will transfer to Budongo Forest Reserve for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience. Accompanied by experienced forest guides, walk through the tropical rainforest while searching for habituated chimpanzee communities.

Once the chimpanzees are located, spend time observing their playful behavior, communication, feeding habits, and social interactions in their natural environment.

After the trek, return to the lodge for relaxation and your final evening in the wilderness.
